VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!
Volunteers play a critical role in making Legends of the Dark such a successful event each year! This is an easy, fun way to earn volunteer hours. Your time and commitment are greatly appreciated.

Tour Guides - Needed for 2019
Tour Guides memorize and act out one of 13 ghost story scenes. Tour Guides must make a 4-night commitment (3 event days plus a run-through time earlier during the week of the event). Theater experience is encouraged, but not required.
13-16 positions total. Time commitment: 5:00pm-10:30pm each of 3 nights (including make-up/costuming time).
Tour Guides are the most crucial people needed to make this event a success! Lots of good volunteer hours here!
Scarers/Creepers - Needed for 2019
Scarers/Creepers roam around the tours or are placed in specific spots around campus to add spookiness to the tours. Volunteers are encouraged to wear make-up (provided) and create appropriately scary roles. Volunteers can come for one or multiple nights. Dress warmly and wear black clothing if possible!
There are an unlimited amount of scarers/creepers, so bring friends along with you to volunteer together! Time commitment: 5:30-10:30pm each night (5:30-6:30pm for make-up and instructions; 6:30-10:30pm for tours). Can do 1, 2, or 3 nights.
Make-Up Design - Needed for 2019
Make-up designers are needed from 5:00-6:30pm each night in the Terrace Rooms A & B in the Bovee UC. Experience creating scars and bruising effects is a plus, and creativity is encouraged! A 3-night commitment is preferred, but you are welcome to come for 1 or 2 nights.
Security Guards
Security Guards are needed to walk around with each tour to prevent mischief and report any concerns. 7 needed per night. Dress warmly and wear comfy shoes! 6:15-10:30pm each night. Can do 1, 2, or 3 nights.
Runners
Runners are needed for set-up and tear-down, delivering messages and snacks to tour guides, and running errands during the event to keep things going smoothly. 4 per night, preferred. Dress in layers for indoor/outdoor work. 5:00-10:00pm each night, with split shifts available (5:30-7:30pm or 7:30-10:00pm). Can do 1, 2, or 3 nights.
